Whew...we have had one busy weekend. Friday when Ryan got off work we went out to Tulsa and did a little shopping and then went out to dinner. Saturday I had a session at 11, got done around 12:30. Then had the kids Christmas party at church. We decided to run to Walmart real quick for blinds and a few things...ended up getting LOTS of stuff!! (Merry Christmas Kari & Nathan haha) Then back to the church at 6:30 for our Deacon's Christmas party. That was a lot of fun. We did a Secret Santa exchange and I think I had my stuff stolen probably 5-6 times...the most out of anyone. I had some good stuff too...my first being a new mini crock pot. I ended up with potpourri and a frosty the snowman decoration. Ryan ended up with a good smelling candle. Sunday morning we got up and went to church, then straight to Pizza Hut for lunch afterwards. Then to the Skating Rink for Lexi's b-day party. Then I ran in Reasor's real quick, then straight to church for a new class we were starting and Avery had her Christmas Program practice. We didn't get home until 6:30, and Ryan 7:30. What a day.
Well the main reason for this post was to write about the Skating Experience. haha I can NOT believe how stinking hard it was. I used to skate all the time as a kid. I thought it wouldn't be too bad. I was wrong! It was tough, especially trying to keep two kiddos up who have never done it either. I didn't think Jackson would want to wear them, but he did...right away. He couldn't stand though without one of us holding him up. That is tough when you can barely move yourself. lol Avery was kinda scared, she loosened up though and I think will get the hang of it soon with more practice. I couldn't really take it very long, so I took the kids skates off for a break and they played around the rink for a bit while Ryan skated. I couldn't get him off the rink. GOOBER!! I'm sure he'll be feeling it tomorrow though.
Oh and poor Debbie. We were over on the "kiddie rink" practicing. I wanted to take my skates off so I could get Jackson and Avery back over by the party. I asked Debbie to hold Jackson's hands for a second and next thing I know they both fell. Poor Debbie did everything she could to not fall on Jackson and I think hurt herself pretty good in the process. She was even bleeding on her arm. :( I hope she's not too bruised up. We did all laugh in the moment though. ;)
Okay here are my pictures. I didn't pull my camera out until the end and got none of the kids in their skates. Oh well. Here's Ryan and some of Jackson on the side upset cause he wanted to just run around on the skating rink and I wouldn't let him.

Poor kid...Ryan did end up taking him on one lap around the rink before we left.
Ryan coming in for a landing. I think he about took Jackson out when he finally landed.
